What Indians ask about
Share of life-topic questions (a single conversation can raise more than one topic).
The headline: career > marriage
In a country where astrology has for generations centred on kundli matching and marriage timing, career and jobs (35%) now narrowly lead marriage (31%), with love and relationships third (19%). The most common single questions reflect real economic anxiety — alongside “when will I get married?”, users ask “when will I get a job?”, “is this a good time to change jobs?” and, in Hinglish, “meri job kab lagegi?”. It suggests young India is bringing modern worries to an ancient practice.
Where India consults astrology most
Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra lead by volume, but West Bengal, Delhi, Punjab and Odisha over-index relative to population — the strongest per-capita astrology affinity.
The language of belief
About 1 in 5 questions are asked in Hindi or Hinglish (e.g. “shadi kab hogi”, “meri job kab lagegi”), the rest in English — a reminder that India's digital astrology audience is deeply bilingual, and the Hindi belt is central to the trend.
